Addis Jemari Night of New Beginnings 2018

THE CHALLENGE

Addis Jemari wished to create a first-year fundraiser with a low budget.

THE SOLUTION

Guided Impact planned the event and negotiated with an office space provider to provide free space for the event, with the caveat that we could not begin setting up for the event until 5:00 p.m.

Despite this challenge, Guided Impact was able to enter the space at 5:00 p.m., removing the existing furniture and creating an attractive venue that included a stage, lights, and 100 chairs theater style. We accomplished this in less than an hour. We set up registration, manned the registration tables, and cut down on expenses by doing our own “pick up” of the rental equipment and the catered meal.

THE RESULTS

Guided Impact enabled Addis Jemari to raise more than $30k, while investing only $4k in event preparation and production. Addis Jemari considers it to have been the perfect “first year event,” achieving a first-rate event on a shoestring budget. This event set the stage for their next year’s fundraising in which, with Guided Impact’s assistance, they raised more than $50k.
